NPC Patient Release Calculation

This program is intended as a mathematical aid only. The criteria outlined in USNRC Regulatory Guide 8.39 must be met prior to the release of any patient.

 

This program calculates the dose to other individuals from a patient who received a permanent implant of 125I seeds.  The procedure is described Regulatory Guide 8.39, April 1997.  The calculation is based on the measured exposure rate at one meter from the patient.
