The purchase of a scintillation camera is a major investment for a facility. The selection of a camera is based upon specifications published by the manufacturer. It is important that the facility protect its investment by assuring the camera meets specifications. This is the purpose of acceptance testing.
NPC performs acceptance testing. Testing is performed according to protocols established by NEMA, the AAPM and NPC. NPC works with the manufacturer to assure the testing is performed according to NEMA protocols. A written report of the multi-day testing is provided which describes the testing and the results.
